Kistler has worked in the public policy field, in the Ventura and Santa Barbara County areas during the past 20 years. She has an earned Master’s Degree in Public Policy, a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and two Associate of Arts Degrees in Journalism/Public Speaking. She has held government relations positions for local cities and community college districts. Kistler has nine years experience representing business to government for members of the California and US Chambers of Commerce.
She has served as the board secretary and board President for the CCA (The Chambers of Commerce Alliance—Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties). Prior to coming to the central coast, she worked in the public policy field in the Orange County area. She is a published author on topics covering various fields, including government programs and public-private agency programs.
